Dr. Pankaj Bang is an eminent chest physician (Pulmonologist) practicing in Mumbai Suburban. He has completed his MBBS from the coveted Grant Medical College & Sir JJ group of hospitals. He has then completed his post-graduation from MHRC, Hyderabad under the world renowned Prof. Late Dr. KJR Murthy.
He has then done a one year rigorous training from the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases under renowned chest physicians.
He had completed his dissertation on “Correlation of BODE index with arterial blood gases in COPD patients “under him. He is also a Fellow of college of chest physicians (FCCP) from the prestigious CHEST society in the USA. Dr. Pankaj Bang is an International Affiliate Member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). He is also an international member of European College of Allergy & Applied Immunology, European Respiratory society and several other national and international societies.
He has been active in local bodies like Malad Medical Association, where he was elected as managing committee member thrice and has worked as guest editor in the respiratory issue of their monthly magazine “MAGIC”.
He is also active member of Association of Medical Consultants, Kandivali Medical Association, Goregaon Medical association and Indian Medical Association.
He also handles OPD (outpatient department) of MCGM run BRBA hospital, Kandivali as post of HONARARY CHEST CONSULTANT for multi-drug resistant (MDRTB) and extremely drug resistant (XDRTB) forms of TUBERCULOSIS & has currently more than 2500 cases under his care covering the whole of western suburbs.
He is also active socially and holds various free camps for the benefit of poor patients on regular basis.
Also he goes to various charitable hospitals for treating and managing poor patients.
He believes that treatment should not be limited to patients because of their social or economic status and the moment the patient sets foot in his clinic they should be treated fairly.
He believes in up gradation of his knowledge and regularly attends and presents papers in various seminars/ conferences at various local, national and international levels.
